Why this study?

The graduate study in Applied Information Technology is designed to provide students with the advanced knowledge and skills needed to succeed in the dynamic IT sector. Through the integration of theory and practice, students will be trained to work with the latest technologies and methodologies, including machine learning, data security, big data management and software development.

The study is conducted entirely online, which allows students flexibility in their learning by offering an optimal balance between studies and other commitments.

The study allows students to specialize in specific areas of IT that are most interesting to them or most relevant to their career goals, whether it is software development, data analytics, IT project management, or information systems security.

Graduates of this study will be well prepared for the job market, with competencies that are highly sought after in the industry. About the programme

The main objective of the study program Information Technology Applications is to create professional, competent and qualified experts in the field of information technologies with an emphasis on theoretical and applied professional knowledge and skills. Through the integration of theory and practice, the study program encourages the development of analytical, design and implementation skills of students in order to prepare them for a successful career in the dynamic field of information technologies. In addition, the goal is to encourage critical thinking, the development of team spirit and continuous learning in order to prepare students for the challenges of the modern business environment.

General (generic) competencies that a student acquires upon completion of studies:

• proactiveness and innovative approach in business
• communication in the appropriate context and at adequate levels
• tendency towards collaboration and teamwork
• rational time management and adaptation to business situations
• communication and presentation skills in Croatian and English
• responsibility towards work and continuous improvement of one's skills and knowledge

The professional competencies that a student acquires upon completion of the study are:

• apply fundamental concepts and technologies in information systems
• use various programming languages, tools and technologies relevant to information technology
• design and manage databases
• develop mobile applications
• analyze business problems and identify information technologies that can contribute to the solution
• know the process of analyzing data and making informed business decisions based on relevant information
• implement and adapt information systems according to business requirements, optimizing functionality
• develop software applications with a focus on business needs
• implement and maintain IT infrastructure, ensuring system stability and security
• apply modern project management methodologies
• use business intelligence tools and analytical techniques to interpret data and make business decisions
• apply security measures and practices to protect information from potential threats
