Why Information Technologies?

One of the most wanted competences in the European market are IT competencies. What sets this study programme apart from other similar studies in the Republic of Croatia is the fact that it provides the knowledge of not only of programming, networks, mobile applications development, system engineering, but also legal regulations in the IT sector, project management, finance, econometrics and digital marketing.

The specificity of this study is the combination of knowledge and skills from the IT industry with entrepreneurial skills. The result is graduated IT experts with a highly expressed entrepreneurial mindset.

Through constant communication with relevant companies from the IT industry, we follow contemporary trends in technology and business, and we continuously update the study program.

About the programme

The professional undergraduate study of Information Technology trains graduates to model, transform and improve business processes using information and communication technologies.

After successfully completing the professional undergraduate study program in Information Technology, students are expected to achieve the following competencies:
• demonstrate and understand information technologies, their potential and application possibilities
• analyze the problems, apply the appropriate development method and implement the solution
• implement algorithms in different programming languages
• apply theoretical knowledge in practice
• solve problems logically and analytically, and offer adequate solutions in the field of profession
• recognize economic and social needs and connections with the IT area
• develop the ability to adapt, self-organize as well as work in teams
• formulate solutions in written and oral form using modern technologies in Croatian and
English
