In short, Student Buddy helps exchange students establish social contacts from day one, which will help them throughout their stay at Baltazar University of Applied Sciences. As a Buddy, your tasks will be to:

• (if necessary) meet the incoming student at the airport, bus or train station,
• meet or accompany the incoming student to the previously arranged accommodation upon his/her first arrival,
• show the way to the Baltazar Polytechnic, and introduce the student to the Polytechnic (lecture rooms, offices, administrative services, website),
• show you the city of Zaprešić and/or Zagreb (tourist and cultural attractions, social activities, useful services),
• introduce the student to other students and friends
• You introduce the student to nice places to hang out in the city.

To avoid possible misunderstandings, we have a few simple guidelines:

• The local Buddy and the incoming student should exchange contacts before arriving and getting to know each other (mobile phone number, email, social networks),

• The home Buddy student should be able, at the request of the incoming student, to provide support for at least 15 minutes per week (based on a mutually agreed upon convenient time) in the form of a joint meeting,
• During the entire stay in Croatia, the local Buddy student should take the guest to at least one social event (party, visit to a landmark, excursion, etc.).
