Why be a licensed tour guide?

Today's tourism is becoming more and more complex, so the demands of tourists are becoming focused on the realization of the tourist illusion of a perfect trip, in the creation of which one of the most important links is precisely the tourist guide. With his knowledge, approach, interesting stories and passion in storytelling, the tourist guide creates an impressive experience of the destination that tourists visit. In addition, it is a highly valued and well-paid job that you can do in addition to your full-time employment.

It is possible to obtain licenses for Zagreb, Zagreb County, Zadar County, Lika-Senj County, Osijek-Baranja County, Vukovar-Srijem County, Požega-Slavonia County, Brod-Posavina County, Bjelovar-Bilogora County, Koprivnica-Križevci County, Karlovac County, Krapina-Zagorje County, Sisak-Moslavina County, Šibenik-Knin County, Split-Dalmatia County and Dubrovnik-Neretva County.

Conditions for attending the seminar
  • at least secondary vocational education
  • citizenship of the Republic of Croatia or a member state of the European Union
  • business ability
Duration and location of the seminar
  • The seminar lasts 89 school hours, which are held in the afternoon.

The examination board at these seminars is appointed by the relevant ministry, and the lecturers are experts from various institutions. As well as external collaborators - renowned experts in the field of tourism. Before the start of the course, participants receive a schedule of lectures with lecturers of individual subjects.

Baltazar Polytechnic invites all interested candidates to enroll in the seminar for a tourist guide and pass the professional exam in the general part and the special part for the City of Zagreb and Zagreb County, Zadar, Lika-Senj, Osijek-Baranjska, Vukovar-Srijem, Požega-Slavonia, Brod-Posavina , Bjelovar-Bilogorska, Koprivnica-Križevačka and Karlovačka Counties based on the Act on the provision of services in tourism (Official Gazette 68/07, 88/10 and 30/14) and the Ordinance on the professional examination for tourist guides and the examination program for tourist companions (Official Gazette 50 /08), and in accordance with the permit of the Ministry of Tourism of the Republic of Croatia for conducting a professional exam for a tourist guide.
