The expert team of the University of Applied Science Baltazar in cooperation with the Zagreb County created the Strategy for the Cultural Development of the Zagreb County under the name #kultura697. The goal of the Strategy is to improve cultural life in all 697 settlements of the County, encourage creative entrepreneurship, artistic and cultural creativity, preserve and revitalize cultural heritage and create conditions for the further development of cultural tourism.
The strategy brings a number of measures to create prerequisites and achieve goals for the development of culture in the next ten-year period. Following European trends and the Europe 2020 strategy, the economy and society should strive to take advantage of digitalization. Thus, the intention of the Strategy, among other things, is the creation of the network platform culture#697, which will be a virtual meeting place for the real culture community of Zagreb County.
As part of the Cultural Development Strategy of the Zagreb County, the #culture697 project was launched, in which residents of all 697 settlements of the Zagreb County could express their suggestions, wishes and needs in the sphere of culture in a questionnaire. The results of the survey questionnaire were published in November 2016 and are an integral part of the Strategy.
At the session of the County Assembly held on February 23, 2017, the Cultural Development Strategy of Zagreb County #kultura697 was adopted, which aims to improve cultural life in all 697 settlements of the County, encourage creative entrepreneurship, artistic and cultural creativity, preserve and revitalize cultural heritage, and create conditions for further development of cultural tourism.
The AWO project is financed from the ERASMUS+ KA2 program - Cooperation for innovation and exchange of good practice. The project leader is our professor Ksenija Stojaković, who together with her colleagues from Fachhochschule Burgenland (the Austrian University of Burgenland from Eisenstadt) and five other partners from Central and Eastern Europe are creating online course AWO or Academic letter.
It is a series of recorded lectures, texts and presentations with instructions for the preparation of the final thesis and/or the preparation of a scientific or professional paper. The goal of the project is in line with one of the goals of the Europe 2020 strategy, which is to increase the number of graduate undergraduate students: by 2020, 40% of graduates between the ages of 30 and 34 should successfully complete undergraduate studies. Since the project was raised to the European level, it was financed with EU funds. It will be available to everyone who wants to easily master the last step towards the diploma and master the technique of writing a professional and/or scientific paper.
The original course template is in German and English, and the project partners are translating it into five other European languages and adapting it. The modules impart the appropriate academic writing skills to the students, while the additional module serves the professional development of the teachers so that they can help and support the students during the writing of the paper.
