The Economic Council is an advisory body to the Dean, the Polytechnic Council and the Baltazar Zaprešić Polytechnic Governing Board, established with the aim of strengthening the connection between the professional and scientific activities of the Polytechnic and the economic community, thereby contributing to the constant revision and innovation of existing and the launch of new study programs, all in accordance with the needs of the labor market.
Participation in monitoring and proposing adaptations of study programs and the development of new study programs according to the needs and trends of the labor market and technology development,
Continuous work on cooperation between employers and students through various forms of connection and networking,
Encouraging other forms of education of interest to the surrounding economy and the Croatian economy, and in the interest of the further development of the Polytechnic,
Involving entrepreneurs in various forms of education at the Polytechnic,
Participation in round tables and forums, the purpose of which is to stimulate economic development and a greater influence of science on the creation of economic policy in the region and in Croatia as a whole,
Proposing and/or participating in guest lectures in the field,
Participation in the organization of student internships, fieldwork and study visits within companies,
Developing joint projects with the Polytechnic.
